Oh goodness, I don't even know where to begin with this one! It has been a crazy couple of weeks! I am feeling like when it rains, it pours! I think for the time being though, that the storm has hit and moved on!
A lot of things have been happening in my family ~ to begin, my grandma was hospitalized last week with bleeding ulcers......she was and is still pretty miserable, but I feel confident that time and medicine will put her pain at ease! She is still very weak from not being able to eat so we have refrained from going over to visit her!
Days before that took place my mom received some pretty unsettling news about my aunt (which is a HUGE fan of my blog and always gives me encouragement on keeping it up)! She has been diagnosed with a form of bladder cancer! She is an inspiring person to me .... before I had children, I always told my mom that I was going to be a mother "just like Susan!" Understanding, calm, and relaxed! Then, God gave me Garrett!!! Need I say more? I always looked up to the way she raised her children! I am asking all of you to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she battles the treatment set forth for her!
If that is not enough, you all know that I have followed little Kayleigh Freeman! I am certain most of you have clicked on the side bar to view her story! Well, she was getting set to come home and now she is what the doctors are calling "brain dead". They fear that she lacked oxygen to the brain at some point during her very last surgery! I can't imagine what her parents are feeling at this point! To spend the last 10 months in the NICU and never get to bring her home!
To top things off in my own life, Ethan has yet again another ear infection! We have been battling ear infections the whole month of April! It started on March 27 to be exact, but who is counting? He continues to have a pleasant disposition, as Ethan does! but he has been having fevers above 103.6 since Saturday! aaahhh! He is on yet again another antibiotic! Tubes may be in our near future! A girl at work swears by Chiropractic care for ear infections ~ I am going to research that one!
On a positive note, summer is almost here! I only have about 26 days of school left, which brings a breath of fresh air! I am considering teaching summer school, since this summer Kurt will be home sleeping during the day :( It is almost impossible to keep 2 kids quiet during the day!
I am trying something new tonight.....every night the 4 of us go down to the creek to check the minnow trap! The boys love to bring the bucket of minnows up to the house and torture them :) My new camera has a video option so I am going to try to post it here! I hope it works!
Ok, so I was not able to load my video....I will try again tomorrow! I will leave you with a different video though! When things get trying with Garrett, which is usually daily and the endless nights without sleep....I try to think of this song! I hope you like it! (In order to hear it, scroll all the way down the bottom and pause the other music!)
Until next time...............enjoy the sun :)

Hi Shawn: I knew Susan was your role model. I think you are a good Mom. You make lots of fun memories with the boys. I enjoy the activities you plan with them. How is the trampoline going? I think I would like one in my backyard. I hope your friend who had the heart transplant is doing well. Good Health is a blessing we take for granted. I do not think our family will now.
