So, I have continued to neglect this blog and for that I am sorry! I bit the bullet and upgraded my internet service to turbo so that uploading pictures wouldn't take an hour! We will see how it goes! I feel terrible that I can't look back over the summer!
So much has happened since my last post! Most importantly Garrett started first grade! Who can believe that?! He was as excited as ever to go back to school and I have to say that after meeting his teacher, this year is going to be hard to beat! She is the most organized, loving, compassionate lady I have met in a long, long time! I just can't get over how attentive she has been and continues to be! We went to the meet and greet on Wednesday and I left there with the best feeling in my heart! Time and time again I feel so at peace with the decision that we made to send him to St. Pat's! This is what Garrett was up to starting first grade:
Weight: 37.8 lbs
Clothing Size: 4 (however I did buy him 5 slim pants in hopes that he grows!)
Shoe Size: 10.5
Teeth: He lost his first front tooth the last week of July! The other one is still hanging on there!
Passion: He is entralled with fishing at this point! We spent EVERY DAY at a body of water over the summer, that could be fished!
Reads: Garrett still loves reading. He is into reading the Dinosaur Cove and Magic Tree House series! He reads aloud to Kurt everynight! God love Kurt for listening to those books! Reading came very easy to Garrett, as it still amazes me how well he does!
I started my new job as well! So far it is going very well! The difference in atmosphere is truly amazing ~ and that is all I am going to say about that! The group of kids that I have are so nice! I have a classroom the size of China, which I am definitely not use to! A corner of the library is what I had at Oakland....so that was a huge difference for me! I am still looking to get into administration, hopefully sooner than later ;)
Ethan is getting bigger by the day! He is only 4lbs off from Garrett! He transitioned back to Miss Paula's quite well! He cried and cried the first day that Garrett went to school that he wanted to go to school with Garrett! I said "Oh Honey! You will spend enough of your life in school ~ DON'T wish that!" He is no where ready to go to preschool! Most of the time he is in his own world! ha! which is fine!
The girls started high school this year ~ another milestone that I can't believe! They go to RGHS, which is where I went ..... I have a lot of good memories of that school and hope they have the same opportunity! Dances, cheerleading, friends and BOYS ~ which they are into! They say "Oh, I am going-out with so & so...." I say "oh really? I don't think you are because you are not allowed to GO ANYWHERE with a boy!" ha! They just give me this dirty look! aaahh where does time go?!
On a final note, I will leave you with an overload of pictures! Our family friend Sly did pictures for us the week before school started! We always wait until Christmas to have them done and this year I wanted to do something different! It was a great time ..... the boys love Sly so they cooperated for him!

Silly Sly thought Kurt would want of photo of me for in his wallet!! ha! We got a chuckle out of that!

I hope this finds all of you doing well! Our family is definitely into the swing of a new routine and is feeling as blessed as ever!
Shawn
