~* The Christmas Tree *~

A bit early I know, but Garrett was chomping at the bit to get the Christmas tree up! That is what filled our exciting evening ~ putting up the tree! My mom, Hunter and Tailor came over to help! Garrett was so excited! Ethan thought the bulbs were "balls" and threw them across the floor ~ which ended up in many of them broken :) He was funny "Ball Ball Ball"!

Their favorite part was THROWING the snow on the tree! I had forgotten why I usually wait for EVERYONE to be in bed when I do this part of the tree :)

This was supposed to be our "ALL FINISHED" picture, but as usual Garrett was not cooperating :) He loves to pose silly for the camera!

And Garrett continues to be silly............................. and the girls continue to be patient with him :)

~* A Venture our InTo the SnOw! *~

We took a little venture out into the snow this afternoon, which is something we haven't done yet this year! Ethan just loved every minute of it! We tried to build a snowman, but Garrett and I could not lift the snowballs on top of each other :) I wanted to get my Christmas stuff hung outside, but needless to say I didn't get that done :( It was a fun time!

Ethan did not want to come inside! He kept yelling "SNOW SNOW SNOW!" He would have lasted hours! Garrett never lasts more than 20 minutes!

~* A HaPpY Thanksgiving! *~

I hope this finds everyone enjoying their day! We had a pretty good day here! We went to eat at my mom and dad's, came home to take a nap and then the kids and I went bowling! This is the first year that the kids and I went....my mom and dad always take the twins, but I never thought Garrett was old enough to go ~ so we went this year! Both boys had a great time! I hope your day went well too!

~* COOLEST BoYs in the HoUsE! *~

There is always some form of excitement going on in our house and tonight was no different! Garrett thinks MOHAWKS are cool and wanted his hair to have a "mohawk" so this is as close as we get.............thank goodness this is good enough for him at this point:)

~* The Classic ChRiStMaS Picture *~

Well, here it is! Our classic Christmas picture! This is the very first picture of both boys with Santa! This is the first year that Garrett would come within 10ft of Santa and Ethan....well, I will let his expression tell you how much he enjoyed it! Garrett's conversation went a bit like this......."I want 10 Monster Trucks, 6 dinosaurs, 17 coloring books, 21 ......" and that is when I quit listening! Enjoy :)

~* Santa Arrived! *~

We went to the mall this morning for the arrival of Santa on a horse-drawn carriage.....we missed the actual "arrival" of him, however we didn't miss the long lines waiting to sit on his lap! Garrett has a list a mile long of what he wants Santa to bring him! Imagine that :) After sitting on his lap, we headed outside in the brisk cold for a horse & buggy ride! It was fun, just a bit cold!

~* Don't give UP on Me! *~

WOW! I haven't posted in quite sometime! Don't give up on me though! Things have been quite hectic around here! Archery season just ended, need I say more? I have been putting in more hours at school with conferences and these classes I am taking at Penn State are getting to be overwhelming! I will be posting some more pictures soon, so be sure to check back often! I have gotten a lot of great feedback about doing this blog, so it is my goal to keep up with it! Things are going well with my boys! Garrett is doing very good in school and is quite the artist! He loves to color! Ethan is into everything and is picking up some new words!

~* Papa got a DEER! *~

Tonight was a pretty exciting evening for my boys! Their PaPa got a deer! Ethan was very fascinated by this and truly didn't know what to think! He didn't hesitate to touch it at all! Garrett on the other hand, didn't really want much to do with it and wouldn't even pose for a picture! It was an 11pt buck, truly a distinguished rack on it! It was a very cold day here, the deer must have been moving :)

Ethan is very much a "Papa's Boy!" Many times, only Papa will do!

~* HaPpY BiRtHdAy GaRrEtT! *~

The day that Garrett has been anticipating finally arrived yesterday! It was his birthday! It is so hard to believe that he is 5 years old! I think he had a pretty good day! To start the morning, Ethan gave him his present early ~ a monster truck that Garrett has been longing for! He then went to school and got to be the center of attention there! Grandma took a half day off work so that she could pick him up from school......they went out to lunch and did who knows what! We had a small family party then last evening! It was a bitter sweet day, kind of sentimental at times when I thought too hard about it! Enjoy the pictures :)

Ethan enjoy all of the hoopla surrounding the day! He loved wearing Garrett's "crown" from school!

But his favorite part was eating Garrett's cake!!

~* HaLLoWeEn Party Day! *~

We have been anticipating Halloween forever and it all paid off yesterday! To start the day, Garrett had a party at school. He was dressed and thought we should leave at 7:30a.m. (school doesn't start until 9a.m.) he was so excited! After the school party, we headed to my school for the Trunk-or-Treat there! Garrett and Ethan enjoyed "tailgating" and handing out candy to all of my students there! They didn't really know what to think of all of the kids dressed up! To finish the day off, we headed to my grandma's "Rocky's" house to hand out candy and go Trick-or-Treating! I think Ethan's favorite part (besides eating the candy) was pounding on the doors! I am certain a fun day was had by all, however I am glad that it is over! The countdown has begun at our house for Garrett's birthday!
